- Order information: Hostel, room number, items ordered, and payment details.
- Wallet information: Transaction history and balance (stored securely in our database).
- Device information: IP address (used for fraud detection on referrals), browser type, and push notification subscription.
- Usage data: Pages visited, order history, and feature interactions to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and deliver your food orders.
- To manage your wallet and transaction history.
- To send push notifications about your order status.
- To detect and prevent fraud (e.g. referral abuse).
- To improve our service and fix bugs.
- To contact you about your order if needed.
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not share your information with anyone outside of MyCampusCravings operations.
- We do not store your full payment card details (all payments are bank transfers).
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (a managed database platform). We use row-level security, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and hashed PINs. We never store your wallet PIN in plain text.
5. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store your device's push subscription to send order status updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or browser settings.
6. Your Rights
- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us on WhatsApp.
- You can request a copy of your data at any time.
- You can update your name or contact details by contacting support.
7. Cookies
We use browser localStorage and sessionStorage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
